丘陵コース。アウトは越後三山を見渡し、フラットで長いホールが多い。フェアウェイにはアンジュレーションがつけられ、ラフはマウンドが続く。距離の克服が最大の課題で、特に７・８番の谷越えがスコアのカギを握る。インはさらに周囲の眺望も見事。だが地形にも起伏が出てくるので、打ち下ろしのホールが多くなる。名物の15番は急な打ち下ろしでグリーンの前後が池でガードされ距離感が重要。18番はフェアウェイが高低２段にわかれ、グリーンも段差があって難易度が高い。
