新潟サンライズゴルフコースは、新潟県北蒲原郡に広がる日本海沿いに造られた砂丘地帯に展開するパブリックなシーサイドコースで、新潟空港から車で約20分という好立地が魅力です。
車でのアクセスは、日本海東北自動車道・聖籠新発田ICより約10分、新新バイパス・蓮野ICから約5分です。鉄道の場合、JR新潟駅からタクシーで約30分となっています。
コースは全体的にフラットで、総距離10,537ヤードと十分な距離を持つ全27ホールです。東・中・西の3コースに分かれ、ほぼストレートなホールの中に戦略的に配された池やバンカーが続きます。心地よい海風を感じながら、初心者から上級者まで、ゆったりとのびやかに大きなゴルフを堪能できる開放的なコースです。
併設する練習場も、300ヤード20打席の長めのドライビングレンジに加え、アプローチ練習場とバンカー練習場が完備しています。
東コースの注目ホールは、ニアピン推奨ホールとなっているPAR3のショートホール5番で、両サイドが小山になっており花道が狭く感じるため、正確なショットが試されます。
中コースの注目ホールは、PAR3の5番ホールで、緻密な風の読みと2つの大きな山があるグリーンでのパター攻略がハイスコアの決め手となります。
西コースで注目のホールは、7番PAR5のロングホールで、中央に配置されたクロスバンカーの左側を狙ってティーショットを打ち、セカンドショットは左土手にあるカート用道路を狙って放つことがポイントです。
