セントレイクスゴルフ倶楽部は、アメリカの鬼才として知られるピート・ダイの設計によって、1989年7月1日に開場された名門ゴルフコースです。
「英国回帰」をコンセプトとしたニュースコティッシュスタイルを目指しており、なだらかさの中にも複雑なアンジュレーションが織り込まれ、プレーヤーのチャレンジ精神をかきたててくれる高度な戦略性を感じられます。
三重県伊賀市に位置しており、西日本エリアでは唯一とも言われるスタジアムコースです。車でのアクセスは、名阪国道の治田ICより約8km、上野ICより約5km、上野東ICより約8kmと比較的好立地な点も魅力です。電車でのアクセスは、近鉄大阪線の名張駅からタクシーで約25分、伊賀神戸駅からタクシーで約15分となっています。
全18ホールは、視覚的な難しさを感じる凹凸や、ブラインドになるエリアが多く、池などのハザードやバンカーが絶妙に配置されており、ゴルフの醍醐味を存分に楽しめます。名物ホールとしては、ロングヒッターであれば1オンも可能な長めのミドルホールである2番や、枕木が添えられている大きな池が続く3番ホール、起伏に富みバンカーが多く配されている10番ホールなどが挙げられ、熟練したプレーヤーのあいだでは特に人気です。9番ホールは、石が特徴的な巨大スタジアムホールで、第3打目をグリーン右から攻めればパーも狙えます。14番から16番までの3ホールは、スコアメイクのカギとなる「ピート・ダイコーナー」で、オーガスタ・ナショナル・ゴルフクラブのアーメン・コーナーを超えるとも言われている名物ホールです。
コースに出る前の調整練習用に、270ヤード、20打席のドライビングレンジが併設されており、自由に利用できます。
クラブハウス内の浴室にはサウナがあるため、プレー後の癒しに最適です。
