札幌ゴルフ倶楽部 由仁コースは、名匠として知られる井上誠一の設計による1974年8月開場の名門ゴルフコースで、北海道プロゴルフ選手権など公式競技会の会場ともなっています。
北海道夕張郡由仁町の丘陵地帯にあり、北海道ならではの雄大な景色を堪能できます。車でのアクセスは、道東自動車道・追分町ICから20km以内で、鉄道ではJR室蘭本線・由仁駅にて下車し、駅から車で約10分のところにあります。
全18ホール、総距離7031ヤードを誇り、広めのフェアウェイとその曲線美に加え、適度なアンジュレーションが魅力の戦略性に富む風光明媚なコースです。とくにインコースでは、両サイドの美しい白樺松が特徴的です。また、グリーンは大きめながら、比較的攻略が難しいうねりがあるため、慎重なパッティングが求められます。250ヤード20打席の練習場が併設されており、プレー前のコンディション調整に利用できます。
ドライビング・コンテスト推奨ホールは3番と15番です。3番はグリーン手前の40ヤード付近にある距離感が難しいバンカーの攻略がスコアメイクの秘訣となり、15番は左側に3つの池があるためフェアウェイをやや右狙い、第2打目から続く軽めの左ドッグレッグは起伏に合わせてクラブを選択していくことがポイントです。池越えのショートホール７番では、ピンより手前を狙った正確なティーショットでバーディも狙えます。やや打ち下ろしのショートホール17番では、風向きにより結果が大きく左右されやすいため、とくに強烈なアゲンストのときには慎重に距離感を見極める必要があります。
