高原の丘陵コース。地形の変化をそのまま生かした手造りのコースだが、ほとんどのホールはフラット。フェアウェイは広く、ＯＢが出にくいのでストレスなく、楽しくプレーができます。阿蘇を背景に豪快なショットが楽しめる。杵島コースは針葉樹に囲まれた距離の長いコース。ゆるい打ち下ろしの１番から始まり、９番は１打が打ち上げ。中岳コースも長く、点在する火山岩がアクセント。
