日本で最も古いパブリックコースとして1913年(大正2年)に開場した「雲仙ゴルフ場」
神戸GCに次ぐ、2番目に古い歴史を持ちます。
また、日本で初めて国立公園に指定された雲仙国立公園内に位置し
2階のレストランからは妙見岳や四季折々の景色を見ることが出来ます。
ゴルフ場の広さは38万平方メートルと広大で、標高750mの丘陵コース。
夏は涼しくプレーが楽しめるほか、温泉街も車で3分ほどのところにありますので
旅行にも最適です。
開場当時、機械力も無く手作りの為フェアウェイには細やかな
アンジュレーションがあり自然と一体化した歴史を感じることも出来ます。
メインコースのほかに、本格的ショートコースも９ホール設け
初心者からベテランの方まで気軽にプレーを楽めます。
