「セゴビアゴルフクラブ」は私が12年ぶりに設計するコースにあたります。設計を始めると、次々とコースに織り込みたい哲学的、心理的、芸術的アイデアがあふれてきました。特に、各ホールに特徴を持たせ、プレーヤーの印象に強く残るコースにすること、世界のトッププレーヤーからビギナーまでその技量に応じて楽しめることを心掛けました。
コース設計はとても楽しく、この気持ちはそのままメンバーとなられる方々に伝わるものと確信しております。

進入路を入るところからスペインの雰囲気を造り、コースデザインも１８ホールすべて、スペインにちなんだモチーフを取り込んだ。圧巻は１４番ガスパチョと名付けられたアイランドグリーンだ。
